Amperage

Transitioning between seasons can be a challenge for maintaining turfgrass, especially on golf courses. As soil temperatures drop and sunlight becomes scarce, traditional fertilizers may struggle to provide all the nutrients turf needs to thrive. That’s where Foliar-Pak’s Amperage steps in. We’ll go in-depth on Amperage below, but if you’re pressed for time, check out our synopsis at the bottom of the page.

Amperage isn’t your average nitrogen source; it’s a powerhouse, especially during shoulder seasons when conditions aren’t exactly ideal. Its liquid blend of molasses, iron, manganese, and zinc—complexed with amino acids—is designed to enhance uptake efficiency and provide additional health benefits. Plus, it’s compatible with most fertilizers and pesticides, making it easy to incorporate into your maintenance routine.

So, how does it work? Amperage is formulated to maintain base levels of primary minerals required for complete photosynthesis, ensuring your turf stays healthy and vibrant, even during cooler temperatures. During periods of slow root uptake, essential micronutrients like iron, manganese, and zinc team up with amino acids to penetrate turf fast. This ensures that even in cooler temperatures, your turf receives the nutrients it needs to thrive. Plus, Amperage provides a boost of simple sugars through natural molasses, especially beneficial during low sunlight conditions.

Thanks to AminoPrecise technology, Amperage moves swiftly through plants, enhancing photosynthesis and delivering outstanding color while meeting nutrient requirements. The amino acids in AminoPrecise help increase photosynthetic activity and nitrogen fixation, plus produce anti-stress compounds, prolonging the life of chloroplasts and bolstering plant resilience. In addition, in warm-season plants, the amino acids aid in carbon fixation.

For golf course managers, applying Amperage couldn’t be easier. Amperage also features low application rates for greater efficiency. Whether you’re treating greens, tees, or fairways, simply follow the recommended application rates and frequency.

Golf Course Greens and Tees:

  • Apply 1.5 to 3 fluid ounces per thousand square feet in a minimum of 0.5 gallons of spray solution per thousand square feet.
  • For poor-quality turf, nutrient deficiencies or high-stress environments, rates up to six fluid ounces per thousand square feet can be applied.
  • Repeat application every seven to 14 days during periods of active turf growth or increased plant stress.

Golf Course Fairways:

  • Same rates as above, but repeat application every 14 to 28 days during periods of active turf growth or increased plant stress.

So, if you’re looking to elevate your turf management game and ensure your golf course stays in top condition throughout the seasons, consider adding Foliar-Pak’s Amperage to your toolkit. Your turf—and your players—will thank you for it.

TL;DR (too long, didn’t read version):

Amperage can be a regular nitrogen source for fertility programs, fulfilling nutrient needs even in shoulder seasons when soil temperatures are cool and there is minimal sunlight. Thanks to the addition of AminoPrecise, Foliar-Pak’s amino acid formulation, Amperage moves quickly through the plant, increasing photosynthetic activity. Amperage delivers brilliant color while giving your turfgrass the nutrients it needs to thrive.
