Surfactants
Surfactants can improve the efficacy of snow mold fungicides. For example, Sync is a fungicide activator that enhances the performance and longevity of contact and systemic fungicides, even when applied at reduced spray volumes. Surfactants also help prevent desiccation in the case of a winter without snow coverage.
Pigments
Pigments make valuable tank-mix partners for multiple reasons. In addition to improving turf appearance, the color from a pigment like Optimizer Green Shade can help warm the ground and promote darker green turf in the spring. Pigments also serve as spray pattern indicators to promote uniform coverage of your snow mold spray.
PGRs
Plant growth regulators are another useful tank-mix partner for preventative snow mold spray. Products like PGR 113 MC can prolong the performance of snow mold fungicides by controlling plant growth, which is especially helpful in the case of a warm winter. PGRs applied in the fall can also help control weed pressure in the spring. For example, Proxy suppresses Poa annua seedheads and makes a good tank-mix partner for snow mold sprays.
