While we certainly will have several more stretches of summer-like weather in the transition zone, we’re also getting some of those mornings that are refreshingly cool. For the last two seasons now, nearly every sample I’ve sent to the University of Wisconsin Turfgrass Diagnostic Lab has come back with either a summer patch or take-all patch infection diagnosis. Why have these two diseases exploded? There are a few possible explanations.
