At Advanced Turf Solutions, “Grow Together” is one of our core values, and we’re excited to reflect that growth by expanding our product lineup. In the third quarter of 2024, we began stocking three new products.
New Fungicide
ArmorTech Prothio 4L, by United Turf Alliance, provides curative and preventative protection against 15 of the toughest diseases superintendents can encounter. Prothio 4L is a systemic, demethylation inhibitor-based (DMI) fungicide that contains prothioconazole (41%). Prothio 4L makes things easy for applicators, featuring a use rate of 0.195 fluid ounces per thousand square feet—regardless of the disease being treated. Every 64-ounce bottle of Prothio 4L contains enough product to treat 7.5 acres. It is labeled for use on golf courses.
New Herbicides
StriCore Herbicide, by SePRO, provides powerful pre-emergent control over hard-to-manage weeds like goosegrass, Poa annua, and crabgrass, all while fighting resistance. StriCore controls or suppresses over 50 types of broadleaf weeds, sedges, and grasses on both cool- and warm-season turf. Stricore contains pethoxamid (46.88%), features a variable rate of between 0.37 and 1.1 fluid ounces per thousand square feet, and integrates seamlessly into tank mixes. StriCore is labeled for use on golf courses and residential and commercial turf.
Allstar Herbicide, by Nufarm, is a four-way, broad-spectrum herbicide designed to selectively control broadleaf weeds, sedges, and grassy weeds. A powerful combination of 2,4-D (12.81%), quinclorac (9.45%), triclopyr (1.48%), and sulfentrazone (0.64%), it targets troublesome weeds like crabgrass, wild violet, Virginia buttonweed, and yellow nutsedge. Allstar’s use rate ranges between 1.1 and 3.0 fluid ounces per thousand square feet, depending on the type of turf it is applied to. Allstar can be used on cool-season turf and warm-season varieties like bermudagrass and zoysiagrass. It is labeled for use on golf courses, sports fields, and residential and commercial turf.
Product Replacement
In addition to the three brand-new products listed above, ATS is now stocking LeafShield, a well-established anti-transpirant product that is designed to hold moisture in plants’ leaves, prevent desiccation, and more.
