Due to its unique pre- and post-emergence control, Dimension makes crabgrass control easy. For effective pre-emergence control of crabgrass, apply Dimension 2EW at a rate of one to two pints (0.25 to 0.5 lb. active ingredient) per acre. This can be done as a single application or multiple applications at intervals of five to ten weeks, as advised on the label.

For post-emergence control, applying Dimension 2EW at one to two pints (0.25 to 0.5 lb. active ingredient) per acre has demonstrated effective control of crabgrass up to the three- to five-tiller growth stage in regions dominated by warm-season turfgrasses. In areas with cool-season turfgrasses, applying Dimension 2EW before the initial tiller stage of crabgrass, which would be less than five leaves per plant, provides early post-emergence crabgrass control.

When it comes to goosegrass management, Dimension provides excellent pre-emergence control. Make two Dimension applications before germination. The first application should be applied when soil temperatures reach 55 to 60 degrees at 0.5 lb. active ingredient per acre. Apply the second application at a rate of 0.5 lb. active ingredient per acre four to six weeks later. In more southern regions, apply a third application six to eight weeks after the second application for extended season control. Split applications are recommended for targeting both crabgrass and goosegrass.
