FMC’s Durentis insecticide is a new product that provides season-long control over turf-chewing insects, including all 13 species of grubs and fall armyworms. In addition to broad-spectrum control, due to its high concentration, Durentis can provide season-long protection in one application. This can greatly simplify pest management for superintendents and free up time and resources for other projects around the course.

More About Durentis Insecticide

Durentis contains chlorantraniliprole (47.85%), a new proprietary active ingredient developed by FMC. It has no signal word, providing peace of mind for superintendents looking to protect pollinators and beneficial insects. In addition to turf, Durentis can be applied to ornamentals for control over leaf-feeding insects like bagworms.

Durentis works quickly to establish a zone of protection around plant roots, and as a systemic, it enters the plant quickly (via upward translocation) with minimal irrigation.

Applying Durentis

Durentis is recommended for use beginning in early April and can be applied throughout spring and summer. Its high concentration offers low use rates; Depending on the target insect(s), use 0.016-0.153 fluid ounces of Durentis per thousand square feet. Don’t apply Durentis more than once within a seven-day period.

How much control does Durentis provide? When used at the recommended rate (0.062 fl oz per 1000 sq ft), Durentis achieved a 94% control rate over white grubs. The power of Durentis, combined with its low use rates and competitive price point, can make insect control easier on your course. To learn more about Durentis, contact your ATS rep.
