Keeping your course pristine is no easy task, but Densicor, by Envu, can help you keep it disease-free all season long with consistent applications. Densicor is a powerful systemic fungicide that controls 13 stubborn diseases on cool- and warm-season turfgrass, including:
- Dollar spot
- Brown patch
- Anthracnose
- Gray leaf spot
- Snow mold
How Densicor Works
Densicor is a demethylation inhibitor (DMI) fungicide that contains prothioconazole (41%). DMI fungicides differ from traditional fungicides in that they target ergosterol, a critical component of fungal plasma membranes, inhibiting fungal growth and ensuring effective control.
What Makes Densicor a Great Choice
- With an ultra-low use rate of 8.5 fluid ounces per acre, Densicor provides outstanding efficacy and efficiency. One 51 fluid-ounce bottle treats up to six acres.
- Densicor is effective on both cool- and warm-season greens, fairways, and tees.
- Third-generation DMI fungicides like Densicor exhibit excellent turf safety, even in the heat of summer, without causing phytotoxicity or growth regulation issues.
- Densicor has been rigorously tested to perform well independently and with plant growth regulators (PGRs).
- Densicor has a proven track record. In a 2020 Rutgers University trial on gray leaf spot, Densicor reduced disease incidence significantly compared to competitor DMIs.
Applying Densicor
For best results, apply Densicor preventatively or during the early stages of disease development. The earlier you apply, the better; Densicor can provide early knockdown of summer diseases if applied when soil temperatures range from 55-65°F at two inches of depth.
Application intervals range from every 14 days to around once a month (28 days), depending on the target disease. See Densicor fungicide’s label for specific instructions. Ensure consistent and uniform coverage when spraying and rotate Densicor with other fungicides to prevent resistance.
