Calibration of Ride-On Spreaders and Sprayers

Course Summary:

This course will prepare you to calibrate ride-on spreaders and sprayers successfully and guide you through the recommended equipment maintenance tasks. The course will demonstrate how to calibrate both the sprayer and spreader, including an overview of the materials needed and step-by-step instructions to measure output, adjust the pressure according to nozzle size, determine speed and area covered, set an effective swath width, and more. The discussion will also review the correct way to perform calculations to add products to the spray tank. You will come away with the benefits of improved product performance and increased labor productivity while being a steward of the environment from using a ride-on sprayer-spreader as a turf manager.

About the Instructor:

Kodi Quinlisk is a Machine Demo Specialist for Steel Green Manufacturing. He previously worked as a General Manager for a commercial lawn care equipment dealership for eight years before joining Steel Green in 2019. His current role includes traveling across the Midwest to demonstrate spreader/sprayer equipment and teach customers about proper calibration and maintenance.
