Your golf course may still be under several inches of snow and your soil profile may be frozen several inches deep. It’s not time to get the sprayer out yet, but it’s a good time to make final adjustments to your spray program. It’s also a good time to consider new products and tools, which can improve course conditions, improve turf health, and possibly reduce inputs.

Lots of inputs go into the typical spray program: fungicides, insecticides, growth regulators, fertilizers, soil surfactants, bio-stimulants, irrigation and more.  One new category of product to consider for high maintenance areas on your course is “sunscreen”. Yes, “sunscreen” for your turf.  Turf Screen can be thought of as a sunscreen for your turf. It’s a new idea, a new tool, developed by a former golf course superintendent that found a solution to a challenge most courses face. That challenge is water management.
