Dr. Robert Wick
Dr. Wick has a Ph.D. in plant pathology from Virginia Tech. He has spent his entire career in diagnostic plant pathology and supervises the University of Massachusetts Extension Nematology Lab. He is one of the few nematologists in the United States that studies plant pathogenic nematodes in turfgrasses. For more than 30 years, he has been researching alternatives to organophosphate nematicides, population dynamics, and biological control of nematodes in turfgrasses.
In addition, Dr. Wick teaches plant pathology, diagnostic plant pathology, mycology, nematology, and forest pathology. He has also received two Fulbright Scholar Awards to teach plant pathology in Bangladesh.
Dr. Zachary Reicher
With more than 25 years of experience in the turfgrass industry, Dr. Reicher has been featured in more than 500 issues of newsletters and trade magazines and has been revised or rewritten in 40 publications. He has presented at more than 300 state, regional and national meetings and recognized with numerous awards for his work and service to the industry.
Dr. Reicher holds a doctorate in agronomy with a focus on turfgrass science from Purdue University. He also is a graduate of Iowa State University, where he earned a Master of Science in horticulture with a focus on turfgrass science and a Bachelor of Science in horticulture.
