Sports Turf Field Manager

The employee in this position will be responsible for ensuring their location and equipment is running safely and efficiently to support the core business of ATS. The Field Manager is responsible for making sure all employees understand their specific jobs responsibilities and are given the appropriate tools and training to be successful.


  • Promotes a positive and safe work environment, as well as company culture and values
  • Organizes equipment and staff based on daily and weekly work loads
  • Manages the preventative maintenance of equipment and schedules repairs as needed
  • Ensures all projects are set up for success and completed successfully – product is where it needs to be, work order data entry is completed, budget and scheduling are followed
  • Oversees the cleaning and organization of the warehouse – to be completed daily
  • Helps with the hiring, coaching and termination of employees
  • Ensures Salesforce is up to date weekly
  • Controls and manages employee schedules, timecards and maintains the overtime budget
  • Close out work orders daily
  • Communicate excess inventory
  • Communicate with customers daily regarding work that is being completed
  • Ensures that the quality of work being completed is up to ATS standards
  • Responsible for receiving in and checking product deliveries
  • Responsible for making sure driver logs and IFTA reporting is submitted on time
  • Responsible for making sure all safety courses are completed as assigned
  • Responsible for making sure their team and warehouse stay OSHA compliant
  • Responsible for making sure all DOT items and pesticide licensing stay valid
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Turf Management, Golf Course Management, Horticulture or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of field experience working both maintenance and construction
  • 1-3 years of management
  • 3B Pesticide License – Can obtain once hired
  • Class A CDL – Can obtain once hired
  • Forklift certified – Can obtain once hired
