Order Entry Specialist

Department: Operations, Reports to Supply Chain Manager
Exemption Status: Non-exempt/Hourly

JOB SUMMARY

The order entry processor inputs sales orders into the appropriate systems efficiently in order to ensure customers receive the correct product and in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains customer database by entering any new and updated customer and account information
  • Enters order data in a timely and accurate manner
  • Verifies inputted information by reviewing, deleting and correcting if necessary
  • Secures copies of all orders before and after processing
  • Contacts the sales representative with any questions regarding the order
  • Checks customer account for credit and outstanding payments
  • Notifies appropriate staff of order and shipping date

  • Working knowledge of Sales Pad and Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Google platform
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and/or CRM preferred
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of order entry experience or equivalent experience
  • Turf industry experience preferred
