We are looking for an experienced Athletics Groundskeeper or Manager in the Brownsburg/Indianapolis area.   This individual will help manage approximately 40 acres of both High School and Middle School athletic fields within 3 campuses.   This position is strictly for athletic fields and not all school grounds.

  • Provide daily maintenance and/or construction projects of sports fields
  • Promote company culture and values
  • Organize equipment and staff based on daily and weekly work loads
  • Manage the preventative maintenance of equipment; scheduling repairs as needed
  • Ensure all projects are set up for success and completed successfully
  • Oversee the cleaning and organization of all equipment and storage locations
  • Helps with the hiring, coaching, and terminations of employees
  • Helps to create policies, procedures and efficiencies based on current and past experience
  • Ensure Salesforce is up-to-date weekly
  • Control and manage employee schedules and maintain the overtime budget
  • Able to perform field work, including but not limited to: seeding, grading, applications of fertilizer, aerification, top-dressing
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Knowledge of maintaining cool season turf
  • Ability to please multiple stakeholders
  • Extensive knowledge and experience setting up playing surfaces, including: baseball/softball, football, soccer, rugby, track & cross country
  • Positive, self-starting attitude
  • Ability to work long hours “in season” maintaining playing surfaces
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to manage and delegate crews
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Docs


  • Strong background in sports turf management, golf course management, horticulture, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of field experience working both maintenance and construction
  • 1-3 years of management
  • IN Pesticide License – can obtain once hired
  • Class A CDL – can obtain once hired
  • Forklift certified – can obtain once hired
