From political disagreements to tragic events, 2017 has been a tumultuous year. We know that life is unpredictable, hence the saying by Benjamin Franklin, “in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” We can also add to that quote the unpredictability of the weather.

Mother Nature has thrown us an array of weather conditions from a rainy, cool summer in the east to major hurricanes in the south. The weather has vacillated from conditions being too wet to too dry. In the end, the results were the same; the turf could not be treated.

But we can prep now and hope for a successful spring. Stay on your fertility schedule and add a dormant feed application if you can. This will help the turf come out of dormancy in the spring healthy and ready to grow.
